The Association of Csángó-Hungarians in Moldova was
represented by a 4-strong delegation at the minority conference held
in Pécs between 10-12 March 2006. At the event, which was sponsored
by the EU and organised by HID-ENCEF (Bridge-for-Europe Nationality
Civil Conciliation Forum) several minorities living beyond Hungary's
border and ethnic groups living in Hungary were present. Their aim was
that by means of co-operation, as a group, as an umbrella organisation
put pressure on European institutions to assure the rights of minorities.
The other purpose of the conference was to create financial conditions
in which the self-organisation of national or ethnic minorities, the
network of our civil organisations can operate without difficulties,
which on the long run is the interest of the majority nationalities
as well. Besides the EU also prefers a culturally colourful Europe.
Please find some documents below which were forwarded to the European
Parliament by the leaders of HID-ENCEF:
