Annual, ordinary general meeting of the Association of Csango-Hungarians in Moldavia

On the 9 of November 2008 held the association of Csango-Hungarians in Moldova its annual ordinary general meeting. The event took place in Bako, in the small room of Vasile Alecsandri Community Centre. In proportion to the previous years numerous interested persons arrived from the villages, the room became full up. Perhaps this can also manifest that people are interested in the activity of Csango Association. They regard it important to get a line on the work of the association.
The meeting was conducted by Adrian Salamon, the president of ACsHM. Before commencing the meeting the president greeted Nyisztor Tinka on the occasion of getting his doctor's degree. After reviewing the items on the agenda Adrian Solomon reported on the activity of ACsHM in the period since the last general meeting and delineated the fiscal report of the Association, which was carried with one consent.
The people having comments on the reports made the leaders of the association sure of their confidence and asked them to visit the villages personally and to inform themselves about the local problems.
Krisztina Mathe, mistress from Frumosza introduced the meeting's attendance to the scheme of founding branch organisation in Frumosza, which was seconded with one accord. To the suggestion of Adrian Solomon the general meeting accepted that the members must pay dues from the next year. The party due was set in the amount of 1 leu a month.
It came also to the point to elect new vice-presidents. The general meeting elected Levente Csillag and Andras Bartha from the 5 candidates.
The orderly, pithy general meeting passed off in a good atmosphere and proved for all of us that the Csangos are following the activity of the Association of Csangos with attention and call for an active collaboration with it. We thank all who have appeared for having given our general meeting the light of their countenance.
